School Consolidation Committee Report

This report presents the findings and recommendations of the Sonoma Valley Unified School District's School Consolidation Committee, formed to address declining enrollment and optimize school resources. The Committee analyzed data, considered various factors, and proposed potential school closures and consolidations to ensure the district's long-term sustainability. This finalized report was presented and discussed at the School Board Study Session on October 29, 2024. 

We want to thank the members of the School Consolidation Committee for their time, commitment, and thoughtful input.

These Four Options were identified at their August, 2024, Committee Meeting.

    • Elementary School:  El Verano (dual immersion), and two of the following:  Flowery, Sassarini, or Prestwood.
    • TK-8: N/A
    • Middle School:  Altimira
    • Closing:  Adele and one of the following Flowery (Option 1.A), Sassarini (Option 1.B) or Prestwood (Option 1.C)

    • TK-8:  Flowery (dual immersion)
