    January 17 – February 9 – Online Survey Available to Sonoma Valley Community

    January 22 and February 5 – Advertisement Appears in EdCal Publication

    February 5 and 6, 2018 – Community Input

    February 26, 2018 – Position Application Closing Date

    February – March – Consultants Complete Comprehensive Reference Checks on Applicants

    March 7, 2018 – Review of all Candidates, Board selects Candidates to interview

    March 22, 2018 -  Board Interview of Selected Candidates

    April 7-9, 2018  - Board Completes Validation Visit of Selected Candidate’s Community and makes Final Determination on Selected Candidate

    April 17, 2018 – Board postpones Superintendent contract 

    April 20, 2018 - Board appoints ad hoc committee to negotiate Superintendent contract

    May 8, 2018 - Board votes on Superintendent contract

    Vision Statement

    All children in the Sonoma Valley Unified School District will have the opportunity to reach their full potential in the classroom and beyond.  Within every school there will be a consistent commitment to teaching excellence, a culture of high expectations, and an emphasis on student engagement.  An active partnership between students, parents and teachers will be an essential component of student success.  Our community will proudly support our schools with time, talent and resources.
