    • Associate Superintendent:  Instructional Services - Karen Strong is stepping down at the end of the school year to  care for a family member and to work on her Doctorate degree. Two additional Instructional Services Department resignations came from Lucy Bollinger, TK-12 EL Coordinator, and Lyndsey Munn, Assessment Coordinator.  Karen’s and Lucy’s positions have yet to be posted due to an internal reorganization assessment. The position of TK-12 Certificated Coordinator: Assessment & Intervention is posted.
    • Human Resources Director - SVUSD announced the appointment of Jonathan Ferrer as Director of Human Resources.   Jonathan’s start date is July 1, but he may be present at the District on intermittent days during the month of June.  Select here for press announcement.
    • Director of Special Education and Student Services - Cabinet has reposted the position after finalist accepted a position with another district.  Posting closes June 8, or open until filled. The District is currently in receipt of 5 applications under consideration, and is conducting recruitment efforts countywide for viable personnel to add to the candidate pool.
    • Principal of Special Education and Preschool Susan Langer submitted her registration on May 25.  The position is also under consideration for reorganization.
    • SVHS Principal - Paper screening took place this week with 7 applications narrowed down to 3 candidates invited to interview on Wednesday, May 30.  The interview process for the candidates will consist of a role play presentation and a traditional question and answer panel session. The candidate will also be asked to provide writing samples.  A second interview/conversation with the candidate is scheduled with the Superintendent for May 31, 2018.
