    Human Resources Director - The initial panel interviews were conducted with Cabinet, VMTA, CSEA, and site administrator representation.  Second interviews with Cabinet were conducted on May 11 with two finalists.   Contract negotiations are in progress with the anticipation that the appointee will be announced the week of May 21.

    Special Education Director - The initial panel interviews were conducted with VMTA, CSEA, site administrator, special education teacher, special education paraprofessional, parent, behavior specialist and school psychologist representation.   Cabinet has reposted the position after finalist accepted a position with another district.  Posting closes June 8, or open until filled.

    SVHS Principal - The initial panel interviews were conducted with VMTA, CSEA, site administrator, parent, community, high school teacher, high school counselor, and high school student representation.  A total of 31 people served on two different panels.  In addition, approximately 75 people attended a public forum where the candidates answered questions, and 35 of those in attendance at the forum chose to provide feedback.   Based on feedback from the 2 panels and public forum, the Cabinet decided to repost the position to continue to look for candidates with the attributes and experiences required for SVHS. It is anticipated that paper screening/interviews will take place as soon as needed.
