Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Watson

I am thoroughly enjoying teaching third grade in Room 50! This is my twenty-seventh year of teaching primarily second and third grades. Prior to being part of the Prestwood staff, I taught at Dunbar School for nineteen years. My first few years of teaching were in Los Angeles. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education and both Multiple Subject and Special Education teaching credentials from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California.

My husband Larry and I live in Glen Ellen, where we have raised our daughters, Mikaela and Aria. Mikaela is currently a senior at U.C. Davis pursuing a double major within the Art Department. Aria is a freshman at Davis as well, majoring in Design.  As a family, we enjoy taking hikes and picnicking, entertaining friends and our huge extended family, visiting museums, swimming, and cooking together.

  • Each family is asked to provide snacks for our class to enjoy during the 10:00 a.m. recess. A calendar sheet is available in our class, where families can sign-up for 1 - 2 weeks of "snack duty." You'll receive a reminder phone call a few days before your assigned week. Some popular snacks are:
          1. cut-up fruit
          2. goldfish
          3. string cheese and crackers
          4. baked items ( muffins are popular)
          5. granola bars
          6. popcorn
          7. pretzels
