No birthdays today

 

Hey Hornets- Part of being responsible is picking up your own trash and making sure it gets into a trash can. Let's show some of our Hornet pride and make sure we are all doing our part to keep our campus clean.

 

We need 2 students to work break and/or lunch in the ball box. Please see Mrs. Aubin if you are interested.

 

Before school and at break, students are to remain inside the red lines until a campus supervisor is present and releases students to play. At lunch, all students will remain inside the lines until the 10 minute bell rings. Also, no food is allowed outside of the red lines.

Gaiters are no longer considered proper face coverings for schools. Beginning today, all students and staff must be wearing proper masks.

Hey Hornets! Welcome to our first Spirit Week of the year! Dress up and earn Spirit points for your Advisory class. On Tuesday the dress-up theme is Crazy Hair Day, on Wednesday it's Twin's Day (dress in matching outfits with someone else), on Thursday it's Athletic Team Day (show off you favorite sports team) and on Friday the theme is Color Splash (6th grade wear orange and pink, 7th grade wear green and light blue, and 8th grade wear yellow and purple)! As always, you can wear an AHMS shirt any day for it to count as points for your Advisory class. All this week at lunch, come to the Leadership table in the quad to check in and get your Advisory spirit points. You MUST check in to get those points!!!

 

Hey Hornets! Leadership has set up a donation box in the library to raise money for families in Haiti affected by the recent earthquake. Any donation is accepted and all money raised goes directly towards a shelter box that the Rotary Club of Sonoma is putting together. The shelter box provides access to safe water, food and shelter for a Haitian family in need. The donation box will be in the quad at lunchtime too! Thanks, Leadership

 

ATHLETICS SCHEDULE FOR 9/6-9/10

Girls Basketball:

Tuesday 9/7: 3:30-4:45

Wednesday 9/8 2:30-4:15

 

Thursday 9/9 Home Game for 7th graders. Please excuse the 7th grade players from class at 3:00

This year due to Covid protocols and safety measures there will be no students allowed at our home basketball and volleyball games. The only students allowed inside the gym will be the players from the 7th/8th grade teams or siblings of the players that are accompanied by an adult.  We are limiting the fan base to strictly family members only. Masks must be worn inside and all eating and drinking must take place outside. 

 

Cross Country:

Tuesday 9/7: 3:30-4:30

Thursday Home meet: Cross Country Runners excused from class at 3:05 Change and then meet Coach Niehaus at the back end of the outside basketball courts. 

 

Soccer:

Tuesday 9/7: 3:30-5:00

Wednesday 9/8 2:30-4:00

Thursday 9/9 3:30-5:00

The soccer games start up next week.
