Adele Harrison MS Student Bulletin, March 3, 2020 A Day

Heads up 7th and 8th graders…your turn to participate in the AHMS Spelling Bee is coming up Thursday, March 5th! Your Language Arts teachers have the forms if you want to participate.  Hope to see you at the Bee!

 

The points are in for our last spirit competition - Band/Concert Tee Day and Farthest Frisbee Throw - the last one of Trimester 2! In third place was Ms. Julie Ryan's Advisory class with 24 points, tied for second place was Ms. Moreno's and Ms. Shellie Ryan's Advisory classes with 25 points, and in first place is Ms. Ventura's Advisory class with 29 points. Ms. Ventura's Advisory class also won the drawing for the Office Staff's 16 points. Congratulations to Luciano Hernandez who won the Farthest Frisbee Throw competition earning 15 points for Mr. Moreno's Advisory class.

 

And now for the Trimester 2 Spirit Competition winners! In third place is Ms. Alioto's Advisory class with 131 points. In second place is Ms. Shellie Ryan's Advisory class with 142 points. And in first place is ..... Ms. Julie Ryan's Advisory class with 179 points! Congratulations! Ms. Julie Ryan's Advisory class will receive a treat from Leadership!

The winning Advisory class for the Tuesday College Wear Count on February 18th was Ms. Gruenhagen's class with 26%. On February 25th, the winning class was Ms. Julie Ryan's Advisory class with 64% of students with college or spirit wear. And our Trimester 2 Tuesday College Wear Count winning class is ...... Ms. Julie Ryan's Advisory class! Congratulations once again! They will receive another treat from AVID!

 

It's time for the Trimester 3 Spirit Competition to begin! Points start at zero, so get out there and earn some points for your Advisory class! This Friday, our spirit dress up day is Cozy Wear Day! Wear a cozy sweatshirt or hoodie or sweatpants to earn 2 spirit points for your Advisory class. Adele spirit wear also counts as 2 points.

 

Our noontime activity this Friday is a Relay Race! Advisory classes send THREE students out to the field after the 10 minute bell. Whichever team wins the relay race earns 15 points for their Advisory class and all participating classes earn 5 points for their Advisory class. See you there!
