Student Bulletin
Good Morning Hornets and Welcome back to a new school year!
Today and tomorrow we are on a Super Special bell schedule, where we will be going to our Advisory Classrooms in the morning, and then after lunch, going to either our A or B day classes. So for today that means that we will have periods 1, 3, and 5 happening after lunch, and tomorrow after lunch we’ll be doing our 2, 4, and 6 period classes. Also, these first two days will be ending at 2:29, just like a Wednesday. Don’t worry if you get confused or forget, just find any adult out in the quad or come to the office for help.
And just in case you forgot, today is our Free Lunch Day. When your teachers release you for lunch today, come into the kitchen breezeway to get your hamburgers, and build your burger from the “burger bar”. Hope you enjoy it!
PE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Do you still need to get your PE clothes? If you need to buy PE clothes you can bring your money for the clothes to your PE class and turn it in with your PE teacher. We will start handing out the PE clothes the start of the second week of school. PE shirt is $15 and PE shorts is $15
Athletics:
Who’s ready to play some basketball, soccer, and run?!!! Fall Athletics are starting up really fast so I need all those interested in playing girls basketball, Co-Ed Soccer, and run Cross Country to listen up. Ms Thorpe will be talking to you all during your PE class about the three sports we have in our Fall Season. Please make sure to have done the following things ASAP.
1) Sign up for which sport you want to try out for. Basketball and Soccer are for 7th and 8th graders only. Cross Country is for 6th-8th grade
2) Pick up a sports packet during your PE class to take home for you and your parents to complete. You MUST turn in your sports packet to Ms Thorpe or in her box up in the office BEFORE the first day of tryouts for that sport,
3) Pay close attention to the tryout dates and times for each specific sport. If you miss a day of tryouts it could hurt your chances of making the team. Show up to all the dates of the tryouts. The schedule will be posted outside and inside the gym.
4) Please come to the tryouts fully equipped with the necessary gear. Athletic shorts and shirt, socks, a good athletic shoe, water, and for the Soccer athletes you MUST have shin guards
If you have any questions see Ms Thorpe.
There will be extra sports packets up in the office if you forget to get one in PE.
