Dear Incoming 6th Graders and Parents….Welcome To the Adele Harrison Family!!  We look forward to seeing you all next year!!!

 

We have a dance coming up, this Friday, May 11th.  The dance is from 6:30 -8.  The theme of this event is “Dance like no one is watching”.  Wear whatever you feel comfortable in from pajamas to fancy dresses, and get ready to get your glow on because the color scheme is neon/glow in the dark!  Tickets on sale this week, only $5   Thanks, Leadership

 

Guess what else happens this Friday….It’s Purple Pinky Day!  When you donate one dollar you get your pinky dyed, an Otter Pop and most importantly you help people with polio!  Come join us in the quad at lunch to participate with our collaboration with Rotary.  Thanks, leadership

 

Hey 8th graders….are you listening????  A week from this Friday, (the 18th) will be the last day to turn in your promotion payments and coupons.  You don’t want to miss out on all the end of the year happiness, so take care of business ASAP!

 

Hey 7th graders:  Field trip permission slips for the end of the year trip to Cal-Skate are due not later than this Friday!!!  Don’t miss out on the fun.  See Ms. Silverman if you have any questions

 

Heeeey 6th graders- It is almost the end of the year which means it's MOVIE TIME!! You don't want to miss out on the end of the year field trip to the Sebastiani Theater.   In order to make sure you get to go on this field trip you need to have the signed permission slip turned into Ms. Thorpe no later than Friday May18th!!   Please get that turned in ASAP, do not put it off. If there are any parents that would like to Chaperone be sure to fill that portion out on the permission slip. Thanks so much!!

Athletics:

To the 7th grade girls track team. Ms Thorpe needs to get a team photo of you all so we can hang it above your pennant in the gym. Tomorrow, Friday May 11th, the photographer will be coming at 10:40 so he can take a quick team photo during advisory.   Questions, see Ms. Thorpe

Don’t forget you need to bring back your Spring pictures this week (turn in to Ms. Thorpe) or if you are going to buy them, turn in the order form with payment, again to Ms. Thorpe. 

Wish the Bands Good Luck!  This weekend the AHMS Bands will compete against other middle school bands in the Music in the Parks competition.  Musicians from schools all around the area perform for judges and receive professional feedback on their playing.  Think of us at 10:55 a.m. on Saturday, that’s our performance time!  Good lunck band members!   Ms. Fitch

Today is the day for the Day of Silence! If you signed up to participate yesterday please meet in the quad today at break where you will be given a sticker for participating and can sit in our circle of silence. For those participating we are asking that you remain completely silent for all of break to honor people who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community who have been forced into silence. Then, for those who participated at break, you can attend a breaking the silence party in room 203 at lunch where we will celebrate how far the rights of the LGBTQ+ community has come and talk about how we can continue to makes things more inclusive.  Thanks, the GSA club and Ms. Bellach
