Hey Hornets! Today is LGBTQ+ Spirit Day where we show support to the LGBTQ+ community that often faces bullying and harassment because of their identities. To celebrate this event and show support, the Leadership class wore purple in order to represent the community and made a short video that is now posted on the Leadership Wall under “Leadership Celebrates...” to spread awareness, support, and some kind messages. Make sure to check it out and wear purple today if you can!

Halloween Costume Contest

Hi Hornets! Even though we are not on campus this year, AHMS will still be hosting our annual Halloween Costume Contest! Post a photo of yourself in your costume on our AHMS Halloween Costume Contest Padlet from October 21st to October 28th. There are four categories: most creative, funniest, scariest, and duo (groups of two), plus the best costume overall. A panel of judges will be deciding the winners and gift card prizes will be awarded! Check out our AHMS Leadership Wall for more information. We can't wait to see all your costumes! - Leadership

Are you interested in entering Adele’s Pumpkin Carving Contest? Prizes will be given for the winning pumpkin in each of the four categories: scariest, funniest, most creative, and best looking. You can enter up to one pumpkin per category. All submissions will be featured in our Halloween Rally Video on October 30th! This activity is not only for students, teachers can join in the pumpkin carving fun as well and submit a photo. To enter, take a picture of your carved pumpkin and post it on our Pumpkin Carving Padlet. Entries can be posted between October 14th and October 21st. Check out our AHMS

Do you want to be a part of our upcoming Halloween Rally Video? Using Flipgrid, you can submit a short clip of yourself doing a funny dance, a short magic trick, a talent of any sort, etc. The videos will be played to a song so make sure you don’t include sound that you want to be heard (such as singing) and make sure the video is school appropriate. All videos will be included in our Halloween Rally Video at the end of this month! This Flipgrid Link is open from October 14th to October 21st.
