your backpack each day. Some of these supplies may be left in your teachers’ classrooms as directed.

● Pencil pouch with: pencils, blue/black pens, eraser, red pen, dry erase black marker, colored pencils,
highlighter, glue stick

● Chromebook (picked up at Hornet Kick-off)
● A book to read for Reading Zone time
● Student Planner (given out 1st day of school)

Checklist for Hornet Kick Off:

• Pick up important information about school policies and procedures!
• Donate to AHMS and PTO - Please donate to support PTO and student recognition, campus beautification and technology.
• 7th grade TDAP - All 7th graders need to demonstrate proof of TDAP vaccination before being able to pick up their schedule and attend school.
• Purchase PE Clothes - PE teachers will be selling the required PE clothing.  The cost for PE uniforms will be $15 for tee shirts and $15 for PE shorts
• Transportation and Food Services - will be located at SVHS. You can purchase bus purchases and get information regarding free and reduced lunch programs. 
• Site Council/PTO/ELAC and other committees - Sign up for volunteer opportunities and parent groups to make AHMS the best it can be for all students.
• 6th graders pick up their free Hornet spirit-wear Tshirt
• Students Receive Schedule - Students will receive their class schedules.  The counselor will be available to answer any questions.
• Chromebooks will be issued to incoming 6th grade students - Room 604 off the gymnasium.  You must pick up your schedule first.
• Bring Emergency Supply backpacks to drop off in your Advisory class bin.

Please Note:   Monday, Aug. 19, Tuesday, Aug. 20, and Wednesday, Aug 21 are 

all Early Release Days – Dismissal each day is at 2:29 PM

Lista de revisión para el evento Hornet Kick Off:

• Reciban información importante acerca de las políticas y procedimientos escolares.
• Hagan un donativo a AHMS y la PTO - Por favor hagan un donativo para ayudar a la PTO, el reconocimiento de los estudiantes, embellecimiento del plantel y la tecnología
• Vacunas TDAP para el 7^mo grado - Todos los estudiantes de 7^mo grado necesitan mostrar un comprobante de la vacuna TDAP antes de poder recibir su horario de clases y asistir a la escuela.
• Compre la ropa de Educación Física (PE):  Los maestros de Educación Física estarán vendiendo los uniformes necesarios de educación física. El costo será $15 para la camiseta y $15 para los shorts.
• Los servicios de transporte y alimentación estarán en SVHS. Usted puede obtener los pases de autobuses y recibir información sobre los programas de almuerzo.
• Consejo Escolar/PTO/ELAC/Otros comités.  Apúntese para la oportunidad de ser voluntario para hacer de AHMS lo mejor que pueda ser para los estudiantes. 
• Los estudiantes de 6^to grado reciben su camiseta gratis con el logo de la escuela 
• Los Estudiantes recibirán sus horarios: Los estudiantes recibirán su horario de clases.  La consejera estará disponible para responder a sus preguntas.
• Se entregarán los Chromebooks a los estudiantes que van a ingresar el 6^to grado - En el salón 604 junto al gimnasio. Primero deben recibir su horario de clases.
• Traer la mochila con suministros de emergencia al recipiente que se encuentra en su clase de Asesoría.
