Hey Hornets, our annual Color Run is happening TOMORROW!  Collect donations and your name will be entered in the raffle to win some amazing prizes, like gift cards and merchandise.  Turn your envelopes with the donations inside to your Advisory teacher to get into the raffle.  Also, we will be selling white T-shirts in the quad all this week, the cost is only $3! Guess what else is happening tomorrow….the author of the book “Wonder”, RJ Palacio, will be visiting our school before we go out to do the Color Run!  AND, thanks to some really wonderful folks here in Sonoma, each of you have been given a copy of her book!  I’ve started reading it, how about you!?

Hey Hornets, Monday the 7^th and Tuesday the 8^th are the days for the chalk noontime activity.  You will be given a spot on the sidewalk that you get to color.  The theme is “Things that make you Happy”.  Come to the quad at lunch those days to participate.  Remember, it is a competition, so do your best!  Sign up in the office today and tomorrow if you want to do this fun event!  Thanks, Leadership

 Cheerleading Tryout for SVHS are coming up very soon!  Starting next week, Tuesday (May 8^th), and finishing up on Friday May 11^th, there will be tryouts from 4:30-7:30 in Golton Hall You must attend all 4 days!!  Questions can be sent to Maci Jerry (macijerry@somcast.net) or see Ms. Jenise in the health office for more info.

And this just in:  2018-2019 SVHS Dance Team Auditions - Tuesday May 15 3:30-5 and Wednesday May 16 2:30-5.  Both days are mandatory.  Wear dance/athletic clothes, athletic shoes & or dance shoes (if you have them).  Hair needs to be pulled off of face and bring plenty of water.  There will be a meeting on Friday May 18 3:30-4:30 for those students who make the team.  Any questions contact Mrs. Regan @ mregan1@sonomaschools.org

Spring pictures are here and you all should have received your pictures in your PE class. Make sure to show your parents to see if they would like to purchase any of them. Just a reminder of how it works. You can purchase any of the 5 sheets that are in the package. There is a price list that tells you how much each sheet is.  If you want to buy any or all of the sheets, take the sheets out that you want to buy and put the money in the envelope they provided. Place the envelope back into the package and return what you do not want along with the money to Ms Thorpe. Once you have done so Ms Thorpe will check you off the list. If you lose or damage any of the pictures you will be responsible for paying for them.   Ms Thorpe would like to have the pictures and money turned in by the latest of next Thursday. Please see Ms Thorpe if you have any questions. 

Athletics:

Thank you so much to all the track athletes that have already turned in their jersey. For those that still have them please turn them in to Ms. Thorpe ASAP.

To the 7th grade girls track team. Ms Thorpe needs to get a team photo of you all so we can hang it above your pennant in the gym. Next Friday May 11th, the photographer will be coming at 10:40 so he can take a quick team photo during advisory. If you would also like to buy an individual photo or also purchase a team photo Ms. Thorpe will have envelopes for you to take and fill out and bring back on FrIday May 11th.
