See who can make and fly their paper airplane the farthest! Join in the fun and earn spirit points for your Advisory class. Thanks! Leadership

Hey Hornets! This Thursday, October 21st is national LGBTQ+ Spirit Day! Wear PURPLE to show support towards the LGBTQ+ community. We will have a little set up in the quad at lunch with rainbow ribbons to make into bracelets or keychains to show support towards the LGBTQ+ community. Thanks, Leadership

Listen up Hornets! Get excited because this entire week we will be selling Halloween Candy Grams! Come out to the quad at lunch and buy a candy gram for $1 each for a friend or two (and yes, you can send one to yourself). Write the name of the person you want to give it to along with their 6th period class and who it's from on the card and we'll take care of the rest! The Halloween Candy Grams will be distributed on Friday, October 29th during your 6th period.

Attention 6th graders! It's that time of year for 6th grade representative elections. If you are interested in becoming a 6th grade rep and joining the Leadership class, please complete the application sent to your email by Ms. Orozco on October 14th! We will be electing one student from each program - Projects, Dual Immersion, and High School Prep. The application deadline is Friday, October 22, 2021 at 7:00 pm. The Winter Season sports are getting close to starting. The Winter sports offered are 7th and 8th grade girls Volleyball and 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball. If you are interested in trying out for either of those sports please listen carefully to the following information.

Ms. Thorpe will be holding signups for anyone interested in trying out for boy’s basketball or volleyball during your PE classes. You are to sign up and put your name on the list. If you have not tried out for any of the FALL sports this school year you are going to need to grab a sports packet from Ms. Thorpe during PE to take home and complete. Make sure you bring back that sports packet and turn in to Ms. Thorpe or her box by Friday 10/22.  You will NOT be able to tryout if your name is not on the list and a sports packet has been turned in and fully completed.

Tryouts can start as early as Monday October 25th. There isn’t a tryout schedule made yet. We still need coaches and we need to figure out a schedule after that. As soon as Ms. Thorpe has a schedule she will make sure to post it right away. Thank you for your patience with this. As of now we are still needing an 8th grade boys’ basketball coach and an 8th grade Volleyball coach.  If you know of anyone interested please tell them to email Ms. Thorpe at jthorpe@sonomaschools.org
