Mindful Monday- Mindful Observance
Taking time to observe just one object can help you practice mindfulness! By focusing all your thoughts on an object, you are forcing your mind to stay present and help create a stillness. How to do this:
- Pick one object. It can be anything- a pencil, a bottle of water, bracelet, etc.
- Focus all your attention on that object alone.
- Observe what it looks like, how it’s designed, what colors it is, the shapes it takes, how it moves, how it makes you feel. Do this for at least one minute.
- If you have other thoughts that pop into your head, don’t fight them- just let them pass by and continue your focus on the object.
Just for you: what are some observations you made?
Our Adele Gay-Straight Alliance Club is starting Tuesday, Oct. 6th. This is a lunch group dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community. If you are a part of the community or an ally to the community this club is for you! To learn more about the club, join our GSA Google Classroom with the classroom code: q4unb5z In the header for the Google Classroom you will find the meeting link. We will be meeting every Tuesday at lunch. Hope to see you there! Mrs. Bellach
A reminder that our Parent Teacher conference week begins next Monday. You have information about it and your parents have it too. You will be doing some reflection work during Advisory this week to have at the conference. You and your parent will be attending the conference together. Help you parents get scheduled if they need help with that. Oh and one more thing, the classes for Conference week will be just a bit shorter so there is enough time in the afternoon for the meetings….be sure to ck out the bell schedule before next week.
