Advisory spirit points have been tallied for the Meme/Vine dress up day and the Sharks and Minnows noontime activity - the first points of trimester 2. In third place is Ms. Moreno's Advisory class with 26 points, in second place is Ms. Orozco's Advisory class with 30 points, and in first place in Ms. Hoban's Advisory class with 36 points. Ms. Moreno's class won the week's drawing to gain the office staff's spirit points. Also, congratulations to Ava Mertens for winning Sharks and Minnows, earning Ms. Austin-Peeke's Advisory class an additional 15 points! Listen for our next spirit competition coming up this Friday!
Congratulations to Ms. Cantaneda's Advisory class for winning week one and Ms. Julies Ryan's Advisory class for winning week two of the AVID Tuesday College Wear Count for trimester 2! Remember to wear your college or spirit wear tomorrow to earn points for your Advisory class!
Great start to the canned food drive….remember to turn in your donations to the box in your Advisory classroom to earn Spirit points! Next collection date is Tuesday, Dec. 10 (TOMORROW!)
Candy Grams will be for sell all week long (until the 13th) for 75 cents. Send some Holiday Cheer to your friends and teachers!
Starting today tickets will be going on sale for the Winter Semi formal dance, which is for 7th and 8th graders only and will be combined with Altimira students too! It will be from 6:30 – 8. We will be selling pizza, snow cones, candy canes, cupcakes and Sweet Scoops ice cream. Tickets will be sold all this week for $5 in the quad, or if you wait until the evening of, they are $7.
This Friday’s Spirit dress up day is emo vs. soft. If you dress soft, things you can wear to earn your class 2 spirits points are dresses/skirts/shirts that are pastel (at least 50% of your clothes). If you wear barrettes or have pony tails, you earn 1 point. For emo, you can wear ripped jeans, and 50% black clothes or long sleeved shirts with a short sleeved tee over it for the 2 points, and chains are one point earners. If questions see Ms. Orozco

This Wednesday is our annual Winter Band Concert! Come support your friends at their performance on December 11 in the SVHS Little Theater. The concert begins at 7pm. Students have been working toward this event since the beginning of the year, and it's going to be a great performance. See you there!
