Want to make sure it’s on your radar, this coming weekend is the Labor Day Holiday, so you will not have any school on Monday Sept. 2^nd .  Enjoy your 3 three day weekend!

Picture Days begin today and continue tomorrow during your PE classes.  Bring you picture order form to give to the Lifetouch folks or go online and do your order before you have your picture taken.  If you lost your order form, there are extras in the office.  Remember this picture is used in the Yearbook, and also will be on your ID card, so remember to dress appropriately and SMILE!   If you miss getting your picture taken we will have a re-take day, towards the end of September.  Thanks

Save the Date!  Next Wednesday, Sept 4^th is Back to School Night here at Adele.  This is the evening where your parents can come and go to all your classes to hear what you are going to be doing this school year.  Mark it in your calendars…..a flyer will be going home on Friday too to help you remember.  Thanks!

Leadership News!

Aloooooha! This Friday is our first rally and the theme is Hawaiian/tropical! 

            We are also starting up our Advisory Spirit Competition on Friday. So keeping with the theme of the rally, our spirit dress up will be Hawaiian/tropical. Be sure to wear any Hawaiian or tropical wear to get points for your Advisory class Clothing such as Hawaiian shirts and hula skirts are 2 points and accessories such as sunglasses and leis are 1 point. THIS JUST IN!!!  IF YOU HAVE PE ON FRIDAY THEN BE SURE TO WEAR A SHIRT UNDER YOUR ALOHA WEAR IF YOU DON’T WANT IT TO BE IN YOUR PICTURE! 

            Leadership is also hosting a noontime activity on Friday for the Advisory Spirit Competition. We will be doing a Hula Hoop Frisbee Toss. So come out to the field after the 10 minute bell on Friday and earn some points for your Advisory class. We will only take the first person that comes out from your Advisory class. Hope to see you there!

1^st day of practice will be Friday  8/30  from 3:30-5:30   

Practice Tuesday 9/3 3:30-5:00 followed by a parent meeting in room 604 at 5:30

Cross Country: Girls & boys-  6^th, 7^th, 8^th graders may run 

Athletes will be running long distances- 1.8-2.2 miles 

“Tryouts”  Tuesday August 27^th  and Thursday August 29^th 

Practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30
