One of the most basic skills for school and work success involves organizing materials. Since your child must carry materials to and from school (and in later years from class to class), the following items are suggested but not required for this year:

Crayons
Colored Pencils
Glue sticks (2)
Scissors
What Every Kinder, First, Second and Third Grade student should have and bring to school:
Backpack – regular size
Jacket – for cold season, marked with name
Shoes – safe play shoes, no high heels
Glue Sticks (2)
Erasers (pink pearl)
Box of #2 Pencils
What Every Fourth and Fifth Grade student should have and bring to school:
21/2” to 3” Binder (No larger!)
Backpack
Binder Paper
Pencil Pouch
1 Pencil Sharpener
Highlighter Pen
Box of Colored Pencils or Markers
Large Glue Stick
Scissors
At least 4 pencils and 4 pens
A plastic divider with pockets for take home notes.
Notebook dividers for each subject; those with pockets are preferable.
