Experience: Served as a progressive Christian pastor for 20 years, including work with children, youth, and their families. This will be my fifth year working in public education. In SVUSD, I was a second grade teacher at El Verano and an RSP teacher at Dunbar.

Degrees and Certifications: B.A. American Studies and Studio Art, M.Div., Preliminary Multisubject and Single Subject (Social Science) and pending Mild/Mod Education Specialist and Mod/Severe Ed. Specialist

Interests: Swimming, Backpacking, Biking, time with family (I have a 9 yr. old daughter), creative projects.

Experience: Received Bachelor's Degree at University of Kansas (KU), received teaching credentials at Humboldt State University and Sonoma State University. My first year teaching was 2006-2007 at Kenilworth Middle School. For the Sonoma Valley USD, taught at Adele Harrison Middle School from 2007-2008, and have taught at Altimira Middle School since 2008.

Degrees and Certifications: BA in Liberal Arts, Level I and Level 2 in Education Specialist-Special Education Credential (received at HSU and SSU), CLAD certified; SDAE/CTEL certified, Added Autism Certification.

Interests: Reading specialist/teaching students phonics and reading comprehension; Writing/composing and editing essays and teaching students writing techniques; Personal activities include keeping in close contact with friends and family, swimming, hiking/being outdoors, visiting art museums, traveling, and seeing music live.
