      • Student Achievement: We believe that every student can achieve and be successful. We will create an intentional system that meets students where they are and ensures growth to achieve excellence.
      • Supportive, Safe and Secure: We believe that all environments should be supportive, safe, and secure. We will ensure that the learning and work environments are supportive, safe, and secure so that each student and staff member will achieve high levels of performance.
      • Equity: We believe equitable opportunity is the responsibility of the entire District. We will surface inequities, confront bias, and create access to ensure success.
      • Coherent Unified School System: We believe our strength is a unified and coherent school system. We will ensure alignment and harmony of systems in our organizations.
      • Communications: We believe our system thrives with an engaged and informed community. We will ensure authentic one- and two-way communication across the District.

    • Logro estudiantil: Nosotros creemos que cada estudiante puede tener buen rendimiento y ser exitoso. Vamos a crear un sistema intencional que aborda a los estudiantes en el lugar donde se encuentran y garantiza el crecimiento para lograr la excelencia.  


    • Apoyo, protección y seguridad: Nosotros creemos que todos los ambientes deberían brindar apoyo, protección y seguridad.  Garantizaremos que los ambientes de aprendizaje y trabajo brinden apoyo, protección y seguridad para que cada uno de los estudiantes y miembros del personal logren los niveles más altos de rendimiento.   


    •  Equidad: Nosotros creemos que la oportunidad equitativa es la responsabilidad de todo el distrito.  Vamos a superar las desigualdades, enfrentaremos los prejuicios y crearemos el acceso para garantizar el éxito. 


    • Sistema Escolar Unificado Coherente: Nosotros creemos que nuestra fuerza está es un sistema escolar unificado y coherente. Garantizaremos la alineación y armonía de los sistemas en nuestra organización.

    NEW FOR 2019-2020

    SVUSD Board Meetings are moved to the first Tuesday of the month.  All meetings will take place at the SVUSD District Offices.  Study Session meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings starting at 5:30 p.m. and end no later than 8 p.m. on September 17, November 19, January 21, March 24th and May 19th.   In addition two Study Session meetings will be held on Saturdays on October 5 and April with the date to be determined.  Saturday session meeting topics are subject to change.  Tuesday Study Sessions will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end no later than 8 p.m.  Saturday meetings start at 9 a.m. and conclude no later than 3 p.m.

  • Policies & Regulations

    The governing board of each school district is required to prescribe and enforce rules consistent with the law, or with the rules prescribed by the State Board of Education. The Sonoma Valley Unified School District Policy Manual contains official policies and procedures that have been adopted by the Governing Board. Our policy manual was created in conjunction with the California School Board's Association (CSBA).
