Test Scores

Official scores must be sent directly from the testing agencies to each college or university.  The UCs and the CSUs will share scores - so you don't need to send them to each campus. When sending your SAT scores to the CSUs, select the CSU APPLY Long Beach option (this is the main CSU office who will then deliver your scores to the appropriate campuses) or enter code #3594 on College Board. You may select one UC campus to send your SAT or ACT score and all campuses will have access to your official test results. When sending your ACT scores to the UCs, select one campus to send your scores and all UCs will have access. You may send your ACT score to one CSU campus and all will have access to your results. It's a bit confusing and can change from year to year, so pay close attention to the directions given to you when you submit your applications. Please note that Common App schools do not share test scores and you must send official scores to each campus. 

Score Reporting Tip

The fee for the SAT and ACT includes automatically sending your score for up to 4 colleges of your choice as soon as they are available.  You can also send scores to more colleges and send selected scores to colleges after you know your results, but you will pay a fee for each additional report.  Some colleges will "cherry-pick" (also known as Super Scoring) your best section scores from all your sittings for the best possible total score.  Others will use your best total score from a single sitting while others will want to see all your scores.  Consider whether it is better for you to send your scores automatically or to wait for your results before choosing which scores to send to which schools.  Students who use a fee waiver to take the SAT may send the scores for free.
